At AlderWood we strive to have the lowest environmental impact that we can. We practice protecting the environment in the following ways:
We use resusable rags, napkins, and dishware.
We buy very little food packaging by buying bulk foods using our own containers.
We buy paper products made from recycled fiber.
We recycle all that we can; plastic items that cannot be left curbside are taken to a facility for recycling.
When possible, we opt for biodegradable materials when buying toys and furniture, as opposed to plastic.
We buy local food to minimize oil consumption.
We conserve water and electricity.
